Would you like to help out with a PTO program, but you really don't have a lot of time? The PTO Cares Program might be a perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

     PTO Cares! is a fun way to show your teachers and other school employees how much we appreciate all their hard work. At the beginning of the year, faculty members complete a survey answering various personal questions, such as their birth date, favorite color and favorite coffee or tea. PTO Cares! matches the surveys to volunteers who anonymously provide three to five small gifts to that teacher throughout the year. The gifts can highlight a special occasion for the staff member or can be "just because". You simply drop the gifts off at the main office with a cheery note signed "PTO Cares!". There are endless gift ideas: a votive candle, flower bulbs or seeds, a packet of hot chocolate, homemade cookies, bubble bath, and a gift certificate to dunkin donuts…. Gift givers can be creative and have fun! These gifts are just little things, but they do mean a lot to the recipients! Each year, we receive stacks of thank you cards from the faculty. For those of you, who have participated in the past, please know that your efforts and thoughtfulness are truly appreciated! Volunteers are not matched up with their child's teacher.
